Dr. Jennifer Tseng Is the First Female Chief of Surgery at a Major Boston Hospital

Jennifer Tseng, MD, MPH, has been appointed chief of surgery at BMC and chair of the department of surgery at Boston University School of Medicine. Tseng is an acclaimed surgical oncologist and gastrointestinal surgeon, whose practice focuses on the upper gastrointestinal tract.

Boston Medical, Head Start Team Up to Reduce Maternal Depression

Boston Medical Center joined forces with the Action for Boston Community Development's Head Start program to reduce and prevent depression in mothers of Head Start students. Michael Silverstein, MD, associate chief medical officer, research and population health, led the program and study, which was published in JAMA Psychiatry.
